WHO I AM.
I've always been a dreamer, and a pretty ambitious person. But what I didn't know early on is that unless your ambition and dreams are driven by what's authentically true for you, the journey of achievement will feel anything but fun and fulfilling. In fact, you'll likely begin to feel a whole lot of resentment... resentment toward a life that feels like hard work, with not a lot of reward and joy to show for it.
Specifically, that looked like...
Moving through 7 different careers, twice as many jobs, relocating 23 different times in 10 years, and experiencing anxiety attack after spout of depression after anxiety attack (with nothing but confusion, overwhelm, and debt to show for it).
For years I dreamed of making a big impact in the world, and living life on my own terms. Yet no matter how hard I tried, nothing I experienced felt right. And after years in this viscous cycle, I was burnt-out, frustrated, and confused.
And worse?
I FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH ME...
Because to me, every other ambitious and driven woman around me seemed to have figured it out (you know, the secret to love, money, success, happiness -- aka, the secret to life!)
Deep down inside I knew I was capable of so much more, and I craved a life that was bigger and better... a life with joy, passion, fulfillment, and fun!
A life that felt like me (whoever that was).
But after years and years of trying to make this happen, without anything close to what I'd visualized I'd have to show for it, I gave up.
I RAISED MY OWN VERSION OF A WHITE FLAG, AND DID THE ONLY THING I COULD THING TO DO FOR A LITTLE RELIEF...
I moved home with my parents, and spent the next three years surviving within the 10x10 confines of my childhood bedroom. I was physically and emotionally burnt out. My health was suffering, and I was beginning to resign to the fact that perhaps I just wasn't meant to live a happy life.
THEN IN OCTOBER OF 2013, EVERYTHING CHANGED, AND CHANGED RATHER SUDDENLY WHEN MY MOTHER SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY PASSED AWAY.
My mother was one of those driven and ambitious women I looked up to, who lived with such joy and seemed to love her every aspect of her life! And as cliché as I know it sounds, her sudden death quickly made me realize just how precious the moments of our life truly are.
Shortly after her funeral, I made the decision that from that moment forward I was going to discover a way to create a life I loved, live life to the fullest, and help other women to do the same.
I started learning how to manifest, and applied my intuitive gifts to my professional education & training in communication, strategy, and personal development. I made clear, bold, and calculated choices in the direction of my dreams... hired coaches and mentors to help me get there... and discovered a deep love and appreciation for myself and my life, in the process.
My purpose these days is centered in living joy and being of service to help other women transform their lives and live their own bespoke versions of joy (once and for all). Looking forward to supporting YOU in this way for 2018.
